Not a beginner program
This is not a training program. It is a structured 6-month project-based training phase for candidates who already have the fundamentals and need the missing piece, real, mentored production exposure that an employer recognises on a resume.
You finished your degree and want a backend stack employers hire for. Python and Django are an honest path to a junior-developer role.
You've tinkered with Python and want a structured way to become a Django developer, with real projects to show for it.
You want a six-month program that builds Python and Django depth and ends with two months of capstone work that lives on your resume.
Each month is a structured session with hands-on practice, mentor reviews, and a deliverable. Months 1–4 build Python and Django depth; months 5–6 turn that into shipped project work.
Python basics (data types, control flow, functions, modules), web fundamentals (HTTP, requests, templates), and an introduction to Django: models, views, URLs, and the request/response cycle.
Hands-on Django through a series of mini projects: forms, authentication, the admin, the ORM, and the patterns that recur in real apps.
Deeper Django: class-based views, custom middleware, signals, caching, query optimisation, file handling, and the patterns that separate a tutorial app from a production one.
Designing and building REST APIs with Django REST Framework: authentication, serialisation, third-party integrations, webhooks, and stitching services together.
A full Django project, mentor-led, that pulls everything together: planning, building, deploying, and reviewing as a single deliverable for your portfolio.
You pick your own Django project. Mentors guide you through scoping, building, debugging, and shipping. The result lands in your portfolio with your name on it.
The difference between an internship that lands you a job and an internship that doesn't is whether the work was real and whether the people reviewing it were practitioners. Here's how we structure both.
A six-month curriculum built around the Python + Django stack. You move from basics to advanced concepts in a defined order, then build. No random tutorials, no aimless coding.
Your code is reviewed by engineers shipping Django for a living. The feedback is the same standard their colleagues get.
The last two months are mentor-guided projects, one structured, one self-chosen. You leave with shipped work in your portfolio, not just a course completion note.
On successful completion you receive a training completion certificate from Techcake documenting the curriculum and the projects you delivered.
Trainees who complete the program go through Techcake's career pipeline, designed to convert the work you did into the offer you want.
A working engineer rewrites your resume and LinkedIn around your Django projects and what you can actually build, concrete deliverables, not generic skills lists.
Recorded mocks on Python fundamentals, Django patterns, REST APIs, and your capstone project, with practical feedback.
Lifetime access to the Techcake alumni Slack and WhatsApp, for job referrals, technical questions, and an engineering network that keeps paying off.
